And more exciting projects soon to be announced…

Joshua Francisco Mitchell is an English filmmaker, best known for his independent directing, especially with micro-budget projects.

He has created multiple award-winning short films, all with a common style of realism accentuated with comedy. The most recent of which are the award winning ‘The Slip Up (2026)’ and 'Bingo (2026)'. Previous shorts (‘Over-Kneaded’, ‘A Helping Hand’) are available to view on the CrocodileTears.uk website. These were also written and produced by Joshua. He is driven by character and choice, believing that action requires repercussion. It’s through this methodology that he creates realistic characters that drive the story with a building sense of tension.

‘The Slip Up (2026)’ is currently undergoing a successful national festival run, it’s accolades to date include winning Best Cinematography, Best Sound and Audience Choice at Buzz Cinema 17/05/26. ‘Bingo (2026) is in a similar position, having won Best Local Short at Buntingford Film Festival 11/04/26, and having been nominated for Best Short at Buzz Cinema 11/05/26. They have other festivals confirmed, although haven’t screened yet.
